When did your love story begin?
Alice and I went ice skating on our first date. She'd never done it before but I play ice hockey so not only was it something I was good at and enjoy, but I also got to hold onto her for our entire date!
How would you describe the style of your wedding?
Intimate and lots of fun! We really just wanted our closest family and friends to have an amazing time in an incredible spot.
What was the best moment of your wedding day?
Making a surprise announcement during our reception speech that we were expecting a baby!
What is your favorite image from your wedding and why?
The panorama atop Roy's Peak. The landscape, the wind catching the veil, the moment. Everything came together so perfectly.
What is your favorite story/memory behind a single shot in the book?
Holding onto each other as we hiked through the snow on top of the glacier. The ground was extremely rocky and precarious, and even though our feet were soaking wet, we hardly noticed. It was such an incredible spot and we were so lucky that the conditions made it possible for us to get up there in the helicopter on our wedding day.
What does your wedding book mean to you?
Thanks to our amazing photographer Mickey Ross, we will always cherish these beautiful moments which he so beautifully captured into images. It was a once in a lifetime experience. No matter where we are in the future or who we become, whenever we open this book we will always be transported back to that perfect day.
